* 10 September 1797 in Großbadegast at Köthen, Anhalt;
† 21 January 1857 in Berlin, called the horse-Krueger, was a German painter and lithographer.
He was known for his popular and life-like portraits and paintings of horses that made him the most important military and could be a portrait painter in Berlin. His depictions of military parades with hundreds of portraits and show as often much of the "good society" of the city.
