488 Polaris Indy Trail

4th Helped with the TRI-Motion in Saalfelden

went on 5.9.2009 in Saalfelden, the 4th Edition of the middle distance across the stage. Nearly 500 participants took up the challenge 2 km swim in Ritzensee, 80km cycling and 22km running on the hilly section between Saalfelden and Maria Alm.

Early in the morning we found ourselves in the picturesque village of beautiful Saalfelden one. Glorious sunshine, clear skies and cool morning air, what more can you wish for the end of the season better?

From our club, Perpetuum Mobile, Chrisu started in fun competition, Babs, family Ortmann (Doris and Othmar) and myself tried in the main competition to sell well. At 9:30

started the fun contest where Chrisu started. After a good swimming power but unfortunately he was in transition to fall, this is his derailleur broke and had to stop so Chrisu after the race. The cool temperatures at this time brought people and materials to their limits and some athletes, the laughter the face of magic. Thank God it was

warmer for lunch at 13:30 and it was finally happening with the main competition. The fastest swim time we reached our time Babs, congratulations. For me it was not as good at swimming, I know where I need to work on me in the winter and so a tactical error at a middle distance to swim without the neoprene I commit no second Time, but where there is no risk because there is no success.

Then it was on the 80 mile hilly bike course where the race is then gone off really well for me. On the selective course I met on the 2 Dame Elke Hinterberger (Karawankenmurmalan). We Pusht each other to a respectable bike split and the thunderous applause of the Spectators on the bike route I often conjured goosebumps on your body.

The final 22 km run but then demanded from all the athletes, here there was nothing left to laugh and I was just glad to get even some way to the finish. Thanks to all spectators and personal fans (Petra, Chrisu and Mario) without their cheering the task was very close. We have made it all the athletes perpetuum mobile target and congratulations to the family Ortmann in their age groups (W50 and M55) each were able to reach the 2nd place.

The organizer Norbert Langbrandtner, Christian and Stefan Rothart Griessner wiedermal conjured up a wonderful competition to Saalfelden certainly not where we were last.

My Resume after this season: After
debut on the Half-Ironman distance in St. Pölten this year, I was also the 2nd "Longer" distance finnish. I've achieved all my goals and a successful finish to the long distance next year at Ironman Austria in Klagenfurt, I look forward with confidence. I know what I have to work and am looking forward to next year.

So then, hang loose
,
lg
Christian
